
Supermodel and catwalk producer Jessica Minh Anh has become an official board member of University Technology PETRONAS' International Advisory Council (IAC). The creative entrepreneur is the only alumni who was exclusively selected to join a global team of industry experts and PETRONAS' top executives to shape the future of UTP.

As an IAC board member, Jessica Minh Anh joined UTP's energy and sustainability forum in 2022 as a speaker and panelist alongside PETRONAS' former president, PETRONAS' Senior Vice President of Project Delivery and Technology, UTP Vice Chancellor, professors from top universities including Princeton and Monash, and other leaders in the technology and sustainability sector. In particular, Jessica discussed future-proofing higher education and building lifelong learning experience, technopreneurship, and creating values for customers and stakeholders.



On her Instagram, Jessica shared “It was an honor to represent UTP alumni in such an impactful forum. I believe it is essential to move the university towards a more sustainable and innovative future. ”

Jessica returned to UTP after more than a decade. During the visit, she discovered the new chemical engineer lab, innovation center, and spoke to hundreds of staff and students.




Entrusted with her input on promoting sustainability in a creative way, Jessica was invited by UTP Chancellor and PETRONAS executive to become the first alumni to visit the solar powered roof of UTP. Jessica previously produced the world's first solar powered catwalk at Gemasolar power planted in Spain.


A star alumni of UTP, Jessica Minh Anh received a full scholarship for her Bachelor Degree in Business Information System from UTP. She also received a Rector Award for both her academic achievements and extra curriculum activities at her graduation. The proud coder went on to receive another full scholarship for her a Master Degree in Marketing Communications from University of Birmingham (UoB) in the UK.

Jessica was very active as an event director and student ambassador in both universities, for which she gained multiple awards, including Best Director for creating the universities' annual entertainment events. She was the elected Culture & Society Executive Officer of UTP Student Representative Council and was featured in PETRONAS Twin Towers' commercial for its famous Skybridge experience. After a month arriving in the UK, Jessica became the elected Postgraduate Officer of the Guild of Students at UoB, and represented all UK postgraduates at the European Postgraduate Conference in Switzerland.


Coming from a talented family of musicians and artists, Jessica has played piano since 6 years old and won champion at the UTP's Battle of the Bands competition in her first year as a lead singer in a Pop-Rock band. During her recent trip to Malaysia for UTP and PETRONAS, she had a chance to reunite with her band mates and university friends, who are now top experts in Malaysia' engineering and energy sector.







Jessica's previous project with PETRONAS was J Spring Fashion Show on PETRONAS Twin Towers' Skybridge, which received both national and international media coverage. On her exclusive interview with NTV7 and 8TV, Jessica shared that she was honored to host the first ever catwalk on the skybridge of Malaysia' iconic symbol. Jessica also expressed her love for PETRONAS and Malaysia in her interview with Marie Claire, ELLE, and ICON magazine during the same period. PETRONAS was one of the official partners of J Spring Fashion Show, alongside L'Oreal group and Citroën.
