SKY-HIGH OCEAN CATWALK ON THE WORLD'S NEWEST LNG-POWERED CRUISE SHIP
On 28 February 2022, JMA will set another historic milestone in the fashion world by transforming the newest LNG-powered cruise ship into an innovative runway. J Spring Fashion Show 2022, also known as the Italian Sky-High Ocean Catwalk, will be at anchor outside the famous Portofino harbour. Against the cinematic backdrop of the Italian Riviera, the iconic production will capture global media attention with exquisite fashion and accessories collections alongside a powerful message on sustainability.
The red-carpet VIP event will welcome international fashion designers, influential figures, and international press on board of the luxurious cruise ship to enjoy the iconic catwalk, Italian delicacy, and live music.
Participating brands will become a part of history and stay ahead of the competition, while celebrating art, architecture, culture, fashion, and innovation right in the middle of the ocean.
Portofino, also known as the jewel of the Italian Riviera, is globally famous for its picturesque harbour, and its luxurious celebrity lifestyle. Its ongoing pursuit of quality and excellence makes Portofino one of the most sought-after destinations in the world.
The world’s newest LNG-powered cruise ship is a floating museum of contemporary Italian art, luxury, and authenticity. LNG, which stands for Liquefied Natural Gas, is one of the cleanest burning non-electric fuels available for the cruise industry. It produces lower emissions of sulfur, nitrogen and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere compared to diesel, and is being used to reduce the industry's carbon footprint.
J Spring Fashion Show 2022 combines three of JMA’s famous catwalk series, namely Fashion x Sustainability, Catwalk-On-Water, and Sky-High, into one mind-blowing extravaganza. Previous editions took place atop the Grand Canyon Skywalk, Hoover Dam, Gemasolar Power Plant, John F. Kennedy international airport, and the sundeck of giant cruise ships in Dubai, New York, Sydney, and Hong Kong.
